Napa Valley Wine Awards
While wine judgings are held all
across America and the Globe, in every conceivable location except
the Napa Valley, none will match the Napa Valley's event when
the first-ever wine judging festival will be held April 7-9,
2000. Targeted wine lovers will be invited to join the wine industry
in celebrating the union of wine and food, history and wine education,
art and science in various venues of elegance and heritage. Consumers
will learn the aspects of how the wine industry has progressed
through the ages of the valley's rich and poetic history.
This is an opportunity to recognize
the efforts of viticultural progress from hillside vineyards
to root stock advances, to awards for the top wines, winemakers,
wine clubs, tour guide, etc...Napa Valley's own celebration.
This three day event will include
the awards ceremony and gala party and a two day showcase format
event on both Saturday and Sunday at the Napa County Fairgrounds
in Calistoga. A major concert benefit with local crafts, food
and other deomnstartions will aslso take place. Calistoga will
be transformed into a living history as costumed characters will
roam the streets throughout the fairgrounds, Calistoga and the
valley reliving the 1800's...You'll meet Sam Brannan...George
C. Yount...Charles Krug...Lily Coit...Robert Louis Stevenson...Black
Bart...miners...early pioneers...creating a Western Renaissance
